Sea Glass Sunrise by Donna Kauffman

5 Fantastic Romantic Stars!!

Sea Glass Sunrise

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley for my honest opinion.

Honestly I love it!!! I felt recently that I was falling down the romance rabbit hole of same story different characters… Donna Kauffman blew this one out of the water. I am new to Donna Kauffman’s writing, I recently met her at an event and picked up one of her books.

Hannah is back home to lick her wounds and be a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding. On her way home she runs into Calder Blue. The attraction is instant but both are getting through some emotional baggage. Hannah has been run through the ringer recently with her job, and her boyfriend. She doesn’t want anyone in her family to know what is going and doesn’t want to ruin her brother’s wedding. The family chemistry in this book was awesome. I was so engrossed in the family banter I forgot about the romance part of the book which was wonderful. Every time Hannah has to go anywhere in or out of town she runs into Calder… the sparks of course just keep going off every time they meet.

Calder is in this small town to build a yacht club that it doesn’t want or need. He has family in town, distant not wanting to know each other family. It is one of those so and so hurt someone a bazillion years ago lets hold on to the hate. Calder sees no point in keeping hold of the feud and is trying to figure out the real scheme behind being hired to do this project in a town.

I really enjoyed the classic banter between Calder and Hannah. How they would reference Gone With The Wind and start talking the Scarlett and Rhett. It was a really nice change. I also really enjoyed the last chapter involving the sea glass.. You’ll have to read it and find out it was super adorable and sweet…
