5 We love “lumber jack’s” stars!!
So a dear friend and I decided to start a book club… no we haven’t come up with a name yet. (feel free to suggest below) Our first book has been a big hit!! We both loved Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. I have to say I haven’t met a Rainbow Rowell book I didn’t love yet. So instantaneously when we thought about which book to start with I gave her a list of Rainbow Rowell books. My dear friend’s name is Charlotte and after a glass of wine or so we got to talking about Attachments…
Q. How did the book flow for you?
Charlotte: I love how this was in email form it just flowed so easily.
Me: I agree since we both read it in one afternoon 🙂 Once you pick up Rainbow Rowell book it is hard to put it down!
Q. What are your thoughts on the main characters (Lincoln and Beth)?
Charlotte: I am really impressed with Lincoln’s growth in this book. In the beginning he is very pleasing. He wants to please everyone all the time. His mom the people at work etc. Then as the book progresses he seems to think about himself more and more. How he looks how he interacts and goes out more.
Me: I totally agree I feel like the characters really developed in this story. Maybe not so much Beth since we only saw the email side of her, however I really enjoyed her relationship with Jennifer her best friend. She always knew exactly how to handle Jennifer in her best and worst moments.
Q. Who did you despise most in this book?
Charlotte: Sam….
Me: Sam for sure… would say more but spoilers and all.
Q. Anything else you would like to add??
Charlotte: I really enjoyed Greg as a boss. Also I was really not a fan of boyfriend Chris. He did that horrible thing towards the end which is the most horrible thing I think a boyfriend can do!!
Me: I agree I was not a fan of Chris, but I guess we weren’t supposed to be or we would be hoping him and Beth were together forever. I also enjoyed all the 90’s references like Jock Jams and the Y2K bug.
All in all both Charlotte and I rated this book 5 stars!! We will be picking our next book soon.
