Why do these stories always just stop without any conclusions?? How will they fit all the information into book 3?  I am super enjoying everything about this series.  I have so many questions though.

This book picks up exactly where book 1 left off.. (*spoiler warning**) Gwen is kissing Gideon in a church.  I need to know why Gideon flip flops back and forth so much on his emotions.  One minute he is being loving and kind to Gwen and the next he being completely and utterly and ASS to her.  I can’t help but kind of hate him in this book.  He can’t make up his mind and after their visit with the Count when the Count informs Gwen that it’s easier controlling  women when they are in love.UGH these men..

I love how Lesley always has Gwen’s back she has never doubted her and is always trying to find answers for her. Can we examine the Raphael and Lesley angle a little bit?? He seems to genuinely like her, then again Gideon seems to like Gwen and he’s a butthole to her.  I really enjoy the gargoyle name Xemerius… while Gwen may not see it yet he has become a helpful little fellow. Her being able to see spirits is turning into a super helpful thing.  Xemerius can spy on everyone for her and no one knows. I am also wondering what her magical power of being able to see spirits will help her with?  Can she ask them to do her bidding?? I mean it’s not like they can move things for her….

So many un-answered questions!! Okay onto the next book!!

Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood (gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies surrounding the Circle really mean.

At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the ghost teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice oneverything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out.
