Ben and Jerry’s Book Tag

When I saw that Kristyandthecatread did this I knew I needed to do it soon! I mean who doesn’t love Ben and Jerry’s ice cream??? She originally saw this tag on Freadom Library blog.  Both blogs are amazing and I highly recommend following them.

Vanilla Caramel Fudge: Pick a Light: A fluffy contemporary – I don’t think any contemporary is just light and fluffy because it should have at least some angst right? Some authors for contemporary romance I would suggest are Jill Shalvis, Kristin Higgins, Jessica Lemmon, Lauren Layne, and Lori Foster.

Mint Chocolate Cookie : A new release that you wish everybody would read – This one is such a hard one to answer…I have so many new favorite books this year. Pull Me Close by Sidney Halston is going to have to be my pick! I had so many feels for this book, you can see my review here.

pull

Cherry Garcia: An ending that was bittersweet – Since I just finished this book it is definitely fresh in my mind.  Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo, I just loved the ending for this book. It was wrapped up so nicely that I wanted more, but was also fine with how it ended. (if that makes sense) You can see my review here.

Strawberry Shortcake:    A book containing your OTP of OTP’s – okay so another hard question and I’m not sure how to answer this without spoilers!! So I’ll just give names of some books with my favorite couples. Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis, ACOFMAF by Sarah J. Maas, Tales from the Shadow Hunter Academy by Cassandra Clare

Milk & Cookies: Two authors that if they collaborated they would go perfectly together – I instantaneously thought of Lauren Layne and Jessica Lemmon.  I would buy that book in an instant. I always connect to their characters in their books because of the depth they are given!! It would be a contemporary with lots of angst, humor, strong heroines, and bit broody alpha males! (Can we make this happen??)

Boston Cream Pie : A book that had you turning the pages late into the night – So many to pick from, but recently I could not put down I’m Still Here by Clelie Avit.  You can find my review here . I have never read a “romance” like this before and couldn’t put it down.

I'm still here

Chocolate Therapy: A book that makes you feel better after a long day of life – This would have to be any book by Jenny Lawson.  I know they are technically memoirs about her life but honestly we suffer from the same mental disorders.  While her symptoms may be different than mine I can relate to how she sees things and reading about it makes me feel better.

Furiously

Coffee, Coffee, BUZZBUZZBUZZ: A book not yet released that you can’t wait to get your hands on. – A week ago I would’ve said Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo but now I have to research my pre-orders on Amazon … Maybe Gemina??? I’m not sure I’m always excited by all books. Not even new releases its just getting my hands on a book I haven’t read yet always makes me excited.

I tag anyone who might want to do this one!

  1. What a cool tag to do! It must have been a wonderful year for you to have read so many books that stayed on your mind! Also, great that you provided so many reviews. I’ll go check out Pull me Close. The cover whispered to me haha
