Kissing Father Christmas by Robin Jones Gunn

4 such a sweet Christmas treat stars!!

Kissing Father Christmas (Father Christmas #3)

I am so glad I finished this series before the holidays.  These stories by Robin Jones Gunn are a heartfelt wonderful Christmas stories.  This book about Anna and her return to Carlton Heath after a relatives wedding will make your heart melt.

Anna is coming back to Carlton Heath to visit some family and friends.  While she was previously there she met Peter and they  had a wonderful time.  While they have been communicating via email Anna holds every word he says in high regard.  She is tired of playing it safe and would like to be the daring one.  However when she arrives Peter seems put off by being with Anna and is sending her mixed signals. While Anna holds Peter in great regard he seems to put up a brick wall around himself that she can’t enter.  At least not until he lets Christ help him.

Again all the same great characters are back from the first two books with the addition of Anna and Peter.  I really enjoyed all the characteristics of each person.  Robin Jones Gunn characters are so corky and sweet.  It makes you want to curl up at the Tea Cosy with them and just talk the day away. As I have said for the previous two books your imagination doesn’t need to work hard for the world that Robin creates. It is so clear cut and vivid with her writing style.

These are such nice quick holiday reads, I would suggest them to anyone.  I would like to thank Robin Jones Gunn and Faith Words for the copies to review in lieu of my honest review.

Anna’s first visit to Carlton Heath in England was last May for the wedding of her cousin Ian to Miranda. The beautiful event ended with a dance under the stars and Anna receiving an unexpected kiss from Peter, the groomsman who caught her eye and now holds her heart. Now, at the invitation of family and friends, Anna is returning to Carlton Heath for Christmas. She has Peter’s recent email to fill her with assurance that he’s looking forward to seeing her again as well. More than his brief words, though, the vivid memory of their unforgettable kiss provides a promise of more to come. Anna, ever the imaginative artist, has been busy painting a romantic conclusion to her holiday visit. Certainly she’s not the only one who has been dreaming of another dance and another kiss.

But when she sees Peter again, his intentions seem to shift as speedily as the blustery winter weather. Is Anna’s heart misleading her, or will Father Christmas bestow on her the gift of love for which she has long dreamed?
