So when one of your best blogging friends mentions that they are starting a subscription box for Europe, because they are hard to find there you obviously want all of the details. Klara @ Ribbon Reviews has decided to start Magic Chest subscription boxes and I have some of the lovely details below. Beginning with the fact that she is already taking orders for the first box until February 15th.
What made you want to start this company?
It first started, actually, when I read a few posts from European bloggers. Some of us live in remote places and can’t access all the new releases, especially in English. I just love book boxes and have been subscribing to quite a few boxes. But as I live in Germany, there was no possibility of getting a book box from my area, simply because such things don’t exist here. So the whole idea was to give people from Europe the opportunity to get English books of their favourite genre along with other cool bookish items from their region. With less shipping time and lower shipping costs.
Will there be a theme each month?
In a way, yes. Each month, there will be a new magical world to explore. This world is based on the book which is in the books and all other products will add to the perfect adventure.
How much will it cost?
- The monthly box for 24,99 €
- The three month box for 71,97€
- The six month subscription for 137,94€
Different shipping costs are applied for the EU and Germany. Currently, the shipping costs for Germany is 4,99€ and for customers from the EU it’s 9€ per box.
For the people who are interested in the box but don’t live in the EU, feel free to write me an email at info@magicchest.net and I’ll enable your country.
What is Magic Chest?
Magic Chest is a monthly subscribtion service which sends monthly boxes which include a fantasy book and other items which help you explore a new world.
What can a subscriber expect from each box?
Each box will contain one hand-picked fantasy book and 3-5 items. Food or drink, cards and maps, bookish items and magical surprises.

Love the idea, I used to subscribe to geeky subscription boxes. If I wasn’t moving out and needing to be the world’s biggest penny-pincher, I would give this a go.

Maybe spread the word to your bookish friends who aren’t in penny pincher mode 😉 … congrats on moving!

Hey there 🙂 Glad to hear you’re interested! I’m a student myself so I know how hard moving can be on a wallet 😀 If you want to, you can still follow us on Twitter/ instagram etc (it’s @magicchests on both). In the course of the box, there will be special offers of all kind, so you might want to follow us even though you won’t buy a box right now 🙂
