The clock is ticking for Emma Talbot—if her dormant memories don’t resurface soon, her past will be forever lost to her—but that’s the least of her worries. Abducted from her home by her husband’s worst enemy, Emma is running out of time in more ways than one.

No longer bound by any limits—moral or physical—the Dragon King sets off on a rampage to discover the whereabouts of his missing wife and retrieve her from the monster who took her. And any creature who is fool enough to stand in his way may well condemn himself to a fate worse than death.

As the royal family’s crisis escalates, Charlie has his own struggles to deal with. The weight of the world now rests on his shoulders and although he is physically capable of shouldering the burden in his emergent form, his ability to control the bestial urges that accompany his newfound power might be another story.

My perspective….

I’m going to try to do this review without spoilers!! I absolutely love this series… I cannot explain how much.  Erin’s writing is so imaginative and unique; every time I read one of her books I fall right into the story and never want to come out.  These stories mostly reside around one character named Charlie.  His growth throughout these books is phenomenal.  Since the first book begins with Charlie in an insane asylum he has obviously grown as a character since then.  He is so much stronger mentally and physically now, he has learned so much from everything that has happened.  Whether or not he uses his powers for good or evil is up to him.

I really enjoyed the introduction of new characters in this book.  That can go either way in books later in a series.  However Erin introduced them in the perfect way, they were such a welcomed feature in the book that I can’t wait to see them in future books.   Some of them I couldn’t tell if they were just fodder to be played off for filler; however they took a delightful turn and surprised me.

In previous books the female characters were not mentally and physically played off as being strong.  Especially the princess and I had even mentioned to Erin how this had irritated me.  However she had stated all in due time, of course authors always have a plan.  This book is full of plots twists and plans!  One of which being all the women coming into their own and becoming very strong characters.  I wanted to scream out loud FINALLY here they are the women of power.  Now I see it, the plan the whole plot 😀

I so highly recommend this series, the character growth is amazing, the plot is amazing, the writing is amazing, it is over all amazing.  I am never bored while reading it for sure, there is always something new to be learned on the next page.  Keep an eye out on my blog I will be having a giveaway soon for this series!!!

About the Author…

Erin A. Jensen

Erin Jensen is the international best selling author of the DREAM WATERS series.

A part-time pharmacist and a full-time creator of imaginary worlds, she lives in upstate New York with her ridiculously supportive husband, two teenage sons (who are both taller than her) and a Yorkshire terrier who believes he’s the family bodyguard. Early on in her writing career, Erin vowed to get a dragon tattoo once she reached a certain milestone number of reviews. She no longer divulges that number for fear that she’ll actually reach her goal and have no choice but to go through with it. If you’d like to make that happen, leave a review on Goodreads and wherever you purchased her books and she’ll be sure to share pictures of her celebratory ink on social media.

Erin is a sucker for any book that draws you into its world, makes you feel for its characters and keeps you thinking about it long after you’ve turned the last page.

After finishing a particularly gripping series several years back—and mourning the loss of its presence in her life—she decided to create a fictional world of her own. Now, nothing thrills her more than hearing from a reader who loves her books and feels for her characters as much as she does.

      1. I vowed to get a dragon tattoo when I received a certain number of reviews, and I’m getting pretty close to the magic number. ☺️
