My new boss has it all. In spades.

Gorgeous green eyes? Check.
Hard-and-sexy body? Check.
Intelligence? Check.
Success? A big fat billionaire… Check.

Too bad I haven’t started out on the best foot.

My big mouth has already turned him against me, and tempting good looks and success aside, Trent Turner is no peach either. He’s stubborn and thick-headed, and son of a fruitcake, he thinks he knows everything there is to know about the hotel business.

With him running the development of the new Vanderturn New Orleans Hotel and me doing the design, our work relationship is far too intimate for two people who absolutely despise one another.

But that’s not all.

See, he isn’t just my billionaire boss from hell. He’s my new neighbor, too.

Same city.
Same building.
Same floor.

Trent Turner is my billionaire boss next door.

Holy moly, let’s hope my career—and hormones—can survive.

My Review…

Okay… well that did not go as planned.  I blame it on my above standard expectations when it comes to a billionaire series from Max Malone.  I’m sure this series will get better because that is their usual style, but I will say Trent will not be my billionaire for sure.  This book out of all I have read from them so far was just meh for me.

Trent of course is the usual billionaire he’s gotten everything he wants except his own company from his father.  His dad is ready to retire except he doesn’t think Trent is ready, of course with this new building in New Orleans this is it the one last shot to prove himself.  I think Trent’s friends were more fun than him, and he didn’t know how to let go which is where Greer comes into play because she is a little bit of a loose cannon.  On the sly she is teaching him how to open up and not be such a stick in the mud.   While Greer was the more easy going of the two characters I still wasn’t fond of her either.  She seemed a little too childish.  This may have been the author’s play all along, get two characters with opposite personalities together to even each other out I’m not sure.  Their work ethic was completely the same, and there was that Max Monroe humor in there.  However I totally lacked the connection to the characters until about 60% through the book. I needed that connection for this book, it seems to have just been me and this book.  I will of course read the rest of the series, I will never give up on Max Monroe.
