4 accidental texting stars!!!
Okay. So, I didn’t die.
But I may as well have.
One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.
We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.
And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.
No. That would be too easy.
I sent them to Milo Ives.
The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.
And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.
He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.
Deflower me, please? I said.
Yeah. Send help.
I love awkward texting in books, and this book is full of awkward texting. Maybe is so cute in her awkwardness, she is a very home town girl in an adorable package. She has finally reached that point in life where she is throwing in the towel and basically saying YOLO. I really liked how her texting seems to of made her bolder and we got to see both sides responses to most of the text exchanges. Why shouldn’t she go for the guy she likes and step out of her comfort zone. I also really enjoyed the new friendship she forged in this book.
Milo has the older brother best friend problems of you don’t touch the little sister. However his best friend’s little sister has grown up to be an accomplished, amazing woman. Milo is shocked by his instant attraction to Maybe and it just seems to grow on a daily basis, especially by all of the outrageous questions she keeps asking him. I really liked that he took it super slow with her and tried not to step over the bounds of friendship with her.
You can always count on Max Monroe to make you laugh out loud at really inappropriate moments if you are reading in public. They also make you really fall in love with the characters no matter who they are, if they are crazy loud or quiet as a church mouse it doesn’t matter you are going to fall head over heels for them. I love it that they bring back characters from previous books into other books so you get to see them again. These authors are becoming instant auto buy authors for me.
