Jock. Secretly a science geek. Hot AF.
LobsterShorts: So. Here goes. For her birthday, my girlfriend wants…a threesome.
SinnerThree: Then you’ve come to the right hookup app.
LobsterShorts: Have you done this sort of thing before? With another guy?
SinnerThree: All the time. I’m an equal opportunity player. You?
LobsterShorts: [crickets!]
SinnerThree, 21
Finance major. Secretly a male dancer. Hot AF.
SinnerThree: Well, I’m down if you are. My life is kind of a mess right now. School, work, family stress. Oh, and I live next door to the most annoying dude in the world. I need the distraction. Are you sure you want this?
LobsterShorts: I might want it a little more than I’m willing to admit.
SinnerThree: Hey, nothing wrong with pushing your boundaries…
LobsterShorts: Tell that to my control-freak father. Anyway. What if this threesome is awkward?
SinnerThree: Then it’s awkward. It’s not like we’ll ever have to see each other again. Right? Just promise you won’t fall in love with me.
LobsterShorts: Now wouldn’t that be life-changing…
My Review….
I was so hesitant to read this book thinking that there was either going to be cheating or maybe there would be to many cooks in the kitchen so to speak, which is not my type of book. I should’ve just listened to my good book reading friend and known she would’ve been right that the book was going to be really good. Was it as good as HIM and US…. I don’t quite think so, however it was a different kind of good.
This book follows to young men in college from two completely different backgrounds just trying to get through life. It always amazes me how people can put up a closed off front in public with so many people around, yet on a device without knowing who is behind the screen you can just let yourself go. That is kind of what happens here, it starts off so innocent one guy trying to get what his girlfriend wants for her birthday and then he finds so much more.
Meanwhile Sinner is supposed to be the more outgoing looser one of the bunch since he is used to this type of thing but in the real world he’s more reserved and closed off from people. It’s just crazy to me, how people can put off one exterior persona to people and be another way with others. Lobster’s crazy knowledge of animal’s habits were off the charts I’m not sure how the author’s researched that or took the time to research that. Their search engines must’ve been off the charts for a while it was so funny. The banter that brought up between the two was hysterical.
I just loved both of these characters and fell for both of them hard. Their life circumstances were both kind of sucky and I think they helped each other out. I like that they let each other grow some and they stood up for each other when needed. I enjoyed that in the end Lobster’s family was more well rounded than we expected sorry if that’s a spoiler for you but I had to put that out there. All in all this was just super sweet and I adored this and I will also read a collaboration by these two authors.

LOL. You know I wouldn’t tell you to read a book with cheating. 😉 I agree that it wasn’t a Him or an Us, but it was a fun time. Sarina Bowen has 3 other M/M romances that are good reads, too. More emotional than funny. One is a hockey romance called The Understatement of the Year. I think you would like that one. It’s KU, too. Great review!
