4 Bless is in the house stars!!
You know those stories where the smart girl tutors the dumb jock? This isn’t it.
What’s the probability of insulting the one guy on campus I need to help me pass statistics? If I knew, I wouldn’t be standing in front of Wes Reynolds begging him to tutor me.
Basketball player, sexy, arrogant, always sleeping through class… these are the things I knew about him. What I didn’t know is that he is a seriously smart jock.
What’s the best way to get rid of the peppy and unrelenting girl that keeps asking me to tutor her? If I knew, I wouldn’t be staring at her tan legs and attempting to teach her statistics.
Sorority girl, fine as f**k, determined, ball buster… these are the things I knew about her. What I didn’t know is that she is all the things I didn’t realize I wanted or needed.
Or that one semester with her would change everything.
What happens when you make assumptions about people you don’t know? You make an ass out of yourself and that is exactly what happened to Blair, but she preserved and went back to ask for help. She would not take no for an answer and was not interested in anything else except the tutoring. I really loved that Blair made almost instant friendships with everyone she met including Wes. It’s not like she didn’t notice everyone on the basketball team was great to look at, she just had bigger priorities than dating anyone. Blair’s positive attitude is very contagious throughout the whole book, you can tell it came in handy for Gabby during her difficult times. I adored how close she was with her friends and how they stood up for each other.
Wes’s whole life is the basketball team, so it was super surprising that he was so unbelievably smart. He is so driven at being the best at everything he does, it doesn’t quite compute to anyone who doesn’t know him. I love how slow he goes with Blair that it is completely a friendship first nothing romantic. He just wants to know everything about her and learn all her quirks and insights into her life. The friendships that Wes has with his teammates and some outside of the team show’s who he is as a guy. I love that he is a stand-up guy not one to go back on his word, or talk bad about others.
I really loved this slow burn romance, these two really got to know each other well before taking it any farther. They of course have their struggles to go through before becoming closer but it’s that way with any HEA the learning to become a couple. I enjoyed the friendships in this book a lot and I cannot wait to dive into book 2.
