My Review…
Ahhh these books are so good, why aren’t they talked about more? The women so come out on top in this book. They remind me of the amazon women in wonder woman, like lets go save our men. There is so much that happens in this book and so much is revealed and I don’t want to ruin anything. There are some deaths that just rip my heart out in this book. Some seriously epic battles happen, good times also happen. The pipers get called out on the bad side of their curse, the druids get called out on all their crap, the wraiths are just plain evil. So much past history is revealed so you learn so much. Some people are even redeemed in this book that I hated in book one.
I cannot wait for book three, if you have KU the books are free on kindle. I highly suggest them.
“Now, we face another reaping. Only this time, our past would try to steal us from our future. No matter who wins, we are the ones who lose.”
She shook her head. “I say to you, no more! We are not our fathers’ daughters. We are not our brothers’ sisters. We are not our husbands’ wives. We are our own. Warriors who fight for what’s ours!”
A Cheer rose up, the women lifting their magical weapons.
“It’s time to make them see we don’t need saving. “
About the author.
Bestselling author Amber Argyle writes young-adult fantasies where the main characters save the world (with varying degrees of success) and fall in love (with the enemy). Her award-winning books have been translated into numerous languages and praised by such authors as NYT bestsellers David Farland and Jennifer A. Nielsen.
Amber grew up on a cattle ranch and spent her formative years in the rodeo circuit and on the basketball court. She graduated cum laude from Utah State University with a degree in English and physical education, a husband, and a two-year-old. Since then, she and her husband have added two more children, which they are actively trying to transform from crazy small people into less-crazy larger people. She’s fluent in all forms of sarcasm, loves hiking and traveling, and believes spiders should be relegated to horror novels where they belong.
I always love when a woman comes out on top in a book or they aren’t the one to give in and make changes in the end. Great review!
