My Review…
I was super excited to read a Red Riding Hood retelling, this story had a great set up for that. Red as a character was brave and strong, however in other areas was rather un-intelligent. I think that might be what threw me off in the whole book. There may have been ways to set up the book without her being so naïve. Her being brave and excelling in combat was a super selling point to me throughout the whole book. I enjoyed that she was fulfilling one of the prophecies. My heart broke when I realized who one of the bad guys were toward the end. I enjoyed every single one of the side characters in this book even the main hero. He had a lot of emotional turmoil dealing with a tragic past and the curse. I kind of wish him accepting his Alpha status would’ve been a little more dramatic than it was but it was, what it was.
All in all this was a decent page turner with some slight flaws, as far as I can see each book will probably follow another character into the prophecies. I might continue on into the series because the next one involves a character I liked in this book.
